Infant & Toddler Curriculum

We want to make sure that your child develops well—physically, emotionally, socially and intellectually. Our classrooms for infants and toddlers are designed to give your child the opportunity to grow in each of these areas:

  • Physical Development includes fine and gross motor skills.  Crawling and walking are encouraged through object manipulation and outdoor play.
  • Emotional Development in infants and toddlers includes becoming more independent, recognizing emotions in themselves and others, and developing self-confidence.
  • Social Development is facilitated by the classroom teachers via learning to communicate effectively, learning compassion, making friends, participating in groups, and resolving conflicts.
  • Intellectual Development for infants and toddlers includes learning foundational concepts: cause and effect, language development, memory development, logic, solving puzzles, colors, and shapes. 

Infant Program

Classroom teachers will supervise and guide healthy interactions between infants, comfort them, make sure each child is safe, and cater to their needs. The ratio of teachers-to-infants is 1:4.  Our classrooms include a changing table, a crib for each infant and regular meals or snacks to ensure your child is provided with an environment that is physically as well as intellectually nourishing.  As your infant grows, he/she will be introduced to solid foods and sippy cups.

Through play infants begin to learn about cause and effect, social interactions with peers, and exploration of the world in which they live. Teachers engage in activities that encourage memory development, use of senses, and independence.

Toddler Program

Toddlers are entering an exciting time when they want to learn and discover! Everything is new and exciting to your bright-eyed toddler, and our certified early childhood educators will ensure  an intellectually stimulating environment.

With our ratio of 1:6, toddlers receive both individual attention and group instruction that builds self-confidence and language skills.  Creativity is encouraged through music, painting, puzzles, games, stories, and other activities.  Toddlers are also introduced to colors, shapes, letters and numbers. Toddlers have their own outdoor play area with age-appropriate equipment.
